This is a 1st Shift Position
Basic Function
Under general supervision, responsible for performing the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts and supplies along with maintaining records of materials/inventory
Responsibilities
* Support production material requirement needs
* Maintains records of received goods, alerting appropriate personnel to inspect unsatisfactory items when necessary
* Will lift and move heavy items and may operate a forklift
* May prepare goods for final shipment and/or production assembly
* May examine, stock and/or distribute goods in inventory and/or in other areas
* May enter information into the inventory management system
* May train others in distribution related tasks and inventory control methods and practices
* Assists in physical inventories
* Performs periodic cycle counts on a pre-determined basis
* Determine part disposition
* Assists in inventory accuracy, control and reduction
* Performs periodic cycle counts on a pre-determined basis

* On-time completion of required training

Physical Requirements
* Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of work occasionally and/or up to 20 pound of force constantly to move objects
* The ability to work with and/or sort small component parts
* Must have good visual perception and demonstrate fine motor skills/ability
* High energy level
Mental Requirements
* Must be able to follow detailed verbal and/or written instructions
* Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately
* Must be able to observe and correct/note minute inconsistencies
* Must be able to analyze material/inventory issues using independent judgment
Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred
* Team player
* Basic reading, writing, math and measuring skills
* Ability to operate common material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, scales, label maker, PC, etc.)
* Effective interpersonal communications skills
* Effective problem solving skills
* Effective analytical skills
* Knowledge of production and materials paperwork requirements, (Travelers, workorders, receivers, red & whites, etc.)
* 6+ months related experience
* Valid forklift operators license
Education/Special Training Required
High School diploma
