We are currently seeking Installation Construction Technicians - Laborers to join our team in Houston, TX . As an Installation Construction Technician, you will be responsible for handling the installation of Flow Control Systems for various municipal, industrial, storm, and sewer line rehab and repair projects.

We are currently offering a limited-time sign-on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license , and sign-on bonuses for new hires without a current CDL license are also available at a reduced amount. New employees who meet the criteria outlined in our sign-on bonus program will be eligible for the full payout.

The starting pay is $21.00-$24.50 per hour depending upon experience and CDL license class. Candidates with prior CIPP or Bypass experience may be able to negotiate a higher starting rate.

What You'll Do:

• Apply a hands-on approach when completing tasks
• Work effectively to complete equipment setup
• Gain a working knowledge of pumps and bypass systems for everyday operations
• During bypass operation, expected to monitor the system and address any issues that may arise
• Learn / train on Insituform’s products, processes, safety procedures, installation techniques, and use of equipment
• Drive various vehicles and construction equipment
• Demonstrate general mechanical knowledge / skill and familiarity with general construction hand tools and power tools
• Excited to take on new challenges and willing to learn
• Capable of working with minimal oversite but willing to adhere to instructions closely
• Perform set up and clean up tasks at jobsite / shop

What We Need from You:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience as a Construction Laborer, Installation Technician, and / or working with Bypass systems is highly preferred; OSHA certifications are a plus
• Valid driver’s license is required with a clean motor vehicle report
• Valid Class A or B CDL is a plus, but not required
• HDPE pipe fusion, fusion machine operation, and pump / pumping system experience is highly preferred
• Must be able to wear a respirator and body harness while entering confined spaces
• Ability to lift / move up to 75 pounds and use pneumatic, battery-powered, or electric tools
• Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Must be able to travel weekly (potentially out of state)
