We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Germantown, Maryland. In this role, you will oversee administrative operations, manage communications, and provide vital support to the office and leadership team. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to maintaining the smooth functioning of office and financial processes.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily office operations, ensuring efficiency and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Manage and update the organization’s website, calendar, and cloud-based storage systems.
• Maintain accurate records in the church database in collaboration with the Church Clerk.
• Coordinate office supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor activities, including inspections.
• Supervise and train office volunteers to ensure effective support.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Church policies, including conducting background checks and monitoring offender listings.
• Handle payroll processing, tax documentation, and financial contributions with confidentiality and precision.
• Prepare donor statements, process vendor payments, and reconcile expense reports under the guidance of leadership.
• Create and manage content for the website, social media platforms, and e-newsletters.
• Assist in developing and editing worship materials and video content for digital or hybrid services.• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized paper, digital, and online records.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in proofreading.
• A friendly and patient demeanor when interacting with visitors and volunteers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher) and online tools such as Google Drive and Breeze software.
• Experience managing social media platforms and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adherence to Safe Church practices.
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and financial processes.
• Familiarity with marketing, graphic design, or video editing tools is a plus.
